Workspace Setup
Overview
Setting up your workspace correctly is essential to ensure smooth collaboration and effective campaign management in Salesnode. The workspace setup process includes creating the workspace, adding members, selecting workspace defaults, and choosing a plan. These defaults help standardize settings across your team, making campaign execution more consistent and manageable.
Creating and Naming Your Workspace
The first step in completing your workspace setup is creating the workspace and giving it a meaningful name. The workspace name is important because it will be displayed to all members within that workspace and helps teams easily identify which workspace they are working in, especially if they belong to multiple workspaces.
Why Workspace Naming Matters
Choosing a clear and descriptive workspace name prevents confusion and keeps your team organized. Remember, changing the workspace name later will not affect any campaigns or stored data; it only changes the label used to identify the workspace.
To set your workspace name:
- Navigate to the “Create Workspace” tab.
- Enter your desired workspace name in the provided field (e.g.,
Acme Sales Team). - Confirm the name to proceed to the next setup steps.
Configuring Workspace Defaults
After naming your workspace, you will configure several default settings that apply across campaigns and members. These defaults streamline campaign creation and help maintain consistency.
Key Workspace Default Settings
-
Default Campaign Timezone: This is the timezone automatically applied to new campaigns within the workspace. It impacts scheduling, send times, and reporting timestamps. For example, setting it to “Chicago, United States (UTC-06:00)” ensures all campaigns start with this timezone unless individually overridden.
-
Default Sending Delay (minutes): This setting defines the minimum delay between sending messages, both for manual sends and automated campaigns. Setting this delay helps control the sending speed, reduces risk of being flagged as spam, and improves email deliverability. It acts as a baseline safeguard for the entire workspace.
-
Default Daily Maximum for Campaign Sends: This limit sets the maximum number of messages that can be sent per day across all campaigns in the workspace. It protects your sender reputation by preventing over-sending. Individual campaigns may have their own limits but cannot exceed this workspace default unless you change it.
How to Set Workspace Defaults
- Navigate to the “Workspace Defaults” tab after creating your workspace.
- Enter the default timezone by selecting your city or region from the dropdown menu.
- Specify the default sending delay in minutes (e.g.,
5). - Set the daily maximum number of campaign sends (e.g.,
500). - Save your settings to apply them workspace-wide.
Setting reasonable defaults helps protect your email reputation and ensures consistent campaign scheduling.
Adding Members to Your Workspace
Once your workspace is named and defaults are set, the next step is to add members who will collaborate on campaigns. Adding the right team members ensures everyone has access to the workspace and its campaigns.
Steps to Add Members
- Navigate to the “Add Members” tab.
- Enter the email addresses of team members you want to invite.
- Assign roles or permissions based on their responsibilities.
- Send invitations to grant access.
Managing Member Roles
You can assign roles such as Admin, Editor, or Viewer to control what each member can do within the workspace. This helps maintain security and proper workflow.
Choosing Your Plan
The final step in completing your workspace setup is selecting a plan that fits your team’s needs. Salesnode offers various plans with different feature sets and limits.
Plan Selection Process
- Navigate to the “Choose Plan” tab.
- Review the available plans and their features.
- Select the plan that best suits your team size and campaign volume.
- Confirm your choice to activate the workspace.
